Welcome to our 2023-24 season! Our renewed vision for Scrag is one of “healing and connection in musical service to our community.” It is “Music as Grace for all of life’s stages.” We have been moving in this direction for a number of years—honing in on exactly what is meaningful to us personally about music and how we can better serve you, our community.
We will continue to offer residencies for musician artists, accessible community concerts, and community engagement as we always have done, with a special emphasis on spiritual chamber music that connects us to one another and to our common humanity. In addition to our residencies, lullaby projects, and school performances, we will be adding Spiritual Soundings hosted by Evan—live music experiences for mindfulness and meditation—and exploring and unfolding a pilot year of bringing music to hospice clients in central Vermont.
We have a rich season in the works and are so excited to share the new directions and new growth with you all!

Spiritual Soundings
Ongoing
Evan's Spiritual Soundings feature improvised loop-based ambient music presented with an intentional theme. The community is invited to participate in these ceremonies in whatever spiritual modalities they want -- meditation, prayer, dance, chanting/vocal sounding, deep listening -- while holding the intention of the session's theme. The hope is that this music and these gatherings will facilitate deep meditative experience which connects audiences to one another and all consciousness. Past Events
