Lullaby Project
Started by New York's Carnegie Hall, the Lullaby Project has grown to have branches throughout the world. In Fall 2019, Scrag was the first to bring this special project to Vermont, partnering with Writers for Recovery and the Lund Center. Since then, Scrag has worked with Good Beginnings of Central Vermont and the Healing Together Project of the Vermont Network to bring this project to more mothers and babies throughout the state. Scrag was the recipient of the 2020 KidSafe Collaborative Janet S. Must Prevention Award for its work on the Lullaby Project.
The Lullaby Project pairs professional musicians and teaching artists with new and expecting parents to create unique lullabies for their babies. The program is said to help with parent-child bonding, maternal health, and early child development. For more information about Carnegie Hall's Lullaby Project please visit here.
